An Inspiring Note about Art Left at Our Front Door

By Matt Mikulla - December 16, 2014

I arrived to my studio at Cement Loop today to find an amazing note folded and stuffed in the front door of the building.

It read:

I was homeless & destitute & your window inspired my life to create something.

Thank you for saving my life

Wow. Just wow.

Inspirational Note - Cement Loop

It took me several minutes to process just how much information, emotion and gratitude was contained within two sentences written by someone that remains anonymous.

All from peering through the studio windows at art on the wall from various resident and guest artists.

Inspiration is everywhere if we allow it. Regardless of situation or circumstance.
