My good friend Jerry Dale McFadden plays keys in the band The Mavericks. We met a while back in Nashville and eventually we had galleries right next door to each other.
Anyway. He tipped me off to a secret show they were playing at the Continental Club here in Austin TX.
What you need to know about The Mavericks, if you’ve never heard them, is they make people dance. It’s definitely from their unique audio flavor combining country, latin and rockabilly.
At one point in the show these lovely ladies got on stage to dance and entertain the while the band played. The crowd loved them. So did the band.
The woman in this photograph caught my eye. Not only was she beautiful, but her pinup style and fashion complimented the crazy wallpaper in the background
Look closely at the background and check out the old timey architecture and guys dancing behind her.
Pretty cool right?
When little details like that come together photography becomes magic. Especially for a classic black and white photograph.
